Please stop spaming these boards as they are still active and will be especially in the coming months. I've met many of the people on this forum and I don't think any of them would approve of this child-like obnoxious behavior.

A noble effort, but pointless as most of the spam is coming from spambots. I understand the team's working on it...

That's correct. I've deleted each one of the spammers and their posts but until I do a modification with server access I cannot do anything to prevent them from registering.

I'll be working on it with Andi soon.

Yes, there should be a setting to make it so that new users have to be approved by the sysadmin. For that matter, just the "send e-mail to confirm" feature will slow down a lot of it.

Good luck!

In other news, at Xanadu Andi Trotter told me a weekend (which is less than 90 days away) and a brand of hotel in Tucson for this year's convention. But calling all three hotels with that name results in none of them admitting to have a group called Anime Tucon coming in for that weekend. So I'm still waiting for an announcement on whether there's a convention this year...

It was on the confirm email setting previously and I really didn't feel like getting 20 confirm user messages in my already busy email box per day. But until I have the access to install a mod on the server, I'll deal with it.

There is an Anime TuCon planned, but nothing can be confirmed because no contract has been signed as of yet. Until a contract is signed, there's no official guarantee that this convention will happen.
